Who We Are
Miss Amy’s Dance began in 1972 as Katherine Smith School of the Arts. Miss Katherine taught Dickson County’s dancers until 1988, when former student Amy Ashby took the reins. Miss Amy then ran the studio for 35 years, teaching the next generation of dancers — us! Morgan Bowker and Kayla McCullah became co-owners in 2023 and are thrilled to continue the legacy Miss Katherine and Miss Amy have built over the last 50 years.
